Cavities

cavities

Dental decay is one of the most common childhood diseases. If your child does have a cavity it is important to treat it as soon as possible. Pain, swelling and infection can result from untreated cavities. Primary molars are not naturally lost until age 11 or 12. These molars preserve space for unerupted permanent teeth in the developing jaw.

There are options for materials used when restoring teeth. The size and depth of a cavity can determine the proper filling material used. Also the tooth which has the cavity plays a major role in which filling material is used.
