What to Expect at Your Child's First Visit

The dentist will meet parent and child and perform an initial exam. Prophylaxis (dental cleaning) and fluoride treatment will be given and x-rays taken as appropriate, depending on the age of your child. Should there be a need for further treatment, options will be discussed and appointments scheduled at that time.

Routine Appointments

We recommend routine check-ups twice a year. Upon arrival you will be asked to complete a short health history update. Routine appointments typically last 40 minutes unless extra time is allowed for additional services, such as sealants. If late afternoon or early morning appointments are preferred we recommend scheduling the next visit before leaving the office, due to the popularity of these appointments.

We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you arrive more than ten minutes late for an appointment we reserve the right to reschedule.

Financial Policy

As a courtesy we will bill insurance for you. It is your responsibility to provide us with your insurance card or all of the information needed to bill your insurance as well as to inform us of any changes to your insurance. Questions about your insurance benefits should be directed to your insurance company.

If you do not have insurance, or if extensive treatment is required, we will be happy to establish a payment plan. For your convenience we accept payment by cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express.
