Toddler Time

At Lakeside Pediatric Dentistry we offer Toddler Time, a special visit introducing your child to their first dental experience. Toddler Time starts with a casual 15-minute informational talk by Dr. Hughes in a small group setting (usually one or two other toddlers and their parents).

Dr. Hughes will cover normal dental growth and development, feeding issues, oral habits, age appropriate brushing techniques, fluoride use, and what measures to take in the event of a dental injury. Following the discussion, each toddler is taken back with a parent for a brief dental exam in the parents lap. At this time you will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Hughes any questions you may have that were not answered previously. Your child will receive a new toothbrush and a small prize. Our hope is that it will be a positive first step toward a lifetime of good dental habits. Toddler Time is generally scheduled late in the morning once a month and there is no charge for this service.
